When you travel 5,000 miles to surprise your long distance partner, the least you might expect is a hug.
But Lauryn Mapusua wasn't so lucky.
She made a spontaneous visit to her fella's new home in the US, having jetted in all the way from Sweden.
Lauryn captured her arrival on camera, later sharing the footage on TikTok, where she posts as @laurynmapusua.
And viewers were divided on his slightly awkward reaction, with some even suggesting he's hiding something.
In the footage, Lauryn enters her boyfriend's house, grinning with excitement, to greet him as he is seen lying on the couch.
However, he doesn't seem quite so enthusiastic, which led to a huge debate in the comments.
Some comments on the video, which has gained more than 7,200 likes, suggested that her boyfriend had a secret life.
One viewer said: "When he already made plans now he's trying to figure out how to hide you."
Another wrote: "Seems like he’s seeing another girl."
A third commented: “Him: ‘Damn, what do I do with the girl on the way coming over….?'"
Meanwhile, other users stood up for the boyfriend as they claim he was too ‘shocked’ to stand up or greet his girlfriend enthusiastically.
One person said: "He was too stunned to speak."
Someone else added: “He's like what are you doing here?”
But others compared the incident to another video which went viral last year that showed a girl arriving in her long-distance boyfriend's college dorm to surprise him.
The lad was seen sitting on the couch with two other girls, as one of them allegedly subtly handed him his phone back.
The video quickly had millions of views, with the lad being dubbed 'couch boy' and being accused of cheating on her.
However, his girlfriend came to his defence as she made follow up videos claiming the pair have a strong relationship and that people shouldn't judge them without knowing them.
One commenter dubbed it: "Couch boy: The sequel."
Another added: “New couch guy? Where my body language experts at?”
