Lady Louise Windsor will study English at the University of St Andrews, starting from this month. Thus, she follows in the footsteps of Prince William and Kate Middleton – now known as the Prince and Princess of Wales following the Queen’s death last week. The late monarch died peacefully last Thursday, September 8, at the age of 96.
Kate and William met at St Andrews, the award-winning university which Louise will now attend. But what else do royal fans know about Louise?
Louise Windsor lives a relatively private life, but in recent months, fans have been able to discover more about the young royal.
This is because Buckingham Palace announced she had achieved high results in her A Levels and, consequently, will be going to university at St Andrews.
It was also revealed earlier this summer that the 18-year-old has been working at a garden centre over the past few weeks.
Body language expert Judi James analysed Louise’s movements and facial expressions to learn more about the young royal.

She said: “There’s an air of almost old-fashioned serenity about Lady Louise’s body language that would hint at her royal heritage no matter how normal and down-to-earth her approach to life might be.
“Between her mother’s more nurturing and empathetic body language that is high on approachability and relatability, and her father’s playful, youthful and often rather bashful signals, Lady Louise seems to be developing her own aura of calm, unfussy inner confidence that is most similar in style to her grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh.”
Louise may seem more similar to the late Prince Philip because of the way she holds herself.

Judi continued: “Her back tends to be straight and her chin is often slightly raised or pushed slightly outward.
“Her hands are often clasped in front of her torso but in an elegant gesture rather than a barrier gesture that would suggest a desire to hide.”
However, the young royal also copies her mother’s body language whenever she steps out in public.
“We can see her still mirroring her mother a lot,” Judi claimed.
“It has been clear Sophie is her mentor and role-model when she steps onto the royal stage.
“But she can also look playful enough to suggest a more natural and spontaneous side.”
Judi added that “overall, Lady Louise looks quite sparing with her gestures and movements and her eye gaze and facial expressions suggest a strong sense of focus and intense interest”.
“These signals would suggest she would be a serious and thorough student with a mature ability to separate work and study from fun and parties,” the body language expert said.
“She looks like the intellect of the royal family rather than someone who will bring drama and intense press interest.”
While at St Andrews, Louise is expected to live at St Salvator’s Hall, which is where both William and Kate lived during their first year of university.
The building consists of plush bedrooms with plenty of space and large windows.
Students living in the Hall also have 24/7 access to an IT suite with nine computers, a common room with a snooker table, a ping pong table, a television, a small library, and a reading room.
