LEGOLAND Windsor Resort welcomes The Cambridges as new neighbours

New royals on the BLOCK! The Cambridges are given their own Legoland display complete with the family dog and moving van outside Windsor Castle to mark their relocation from London

  • Prince William and Kate Middleton have been reimagined as LEGOLAND figures
  • Models of them, as well as their three children and dog, can be seen at Miniland
  • It comes ahead of the family’s reported move to Adelaide Cottage in September

Model makers at Legoland Windsor Resort have unveiled figures of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – as well as their children – in honour of the family’s move to Adelaide Cottage in Berkshire this September.

The iconic plastic toys have been orchestrated into a moving-in scene which features a ‘Royal Removals’ service.

The impressive feat required 4,100 Lego bricks, with Prince William and Kate Middleton positioned outside the 39,000-brick Windsor Castle creation.

Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and the family dog Orla can also be found in the Resort’s iconic Miniland attraction.

The couple, both 40, are set to escape the ‘goldfish bowl’ of Kensington Palace for a quieter life at the heart of the Windsor Estate in coming weeks

Each child required 20 LEGO bricks, and little Orla was made up with 15.

The neighbourly scene took model makers 19 hours to complete, and sees the Cambridges unpacking their belongings with the help of some movers.

They’re reportedly set to uproot their family from Kensington, west London, to Berkshire.

It will also mean the family will be closer to the Queen; who has in recent months faced episodic mobility issues and has spent much of her time at Windsor Castle.

George, Charlotte and Louis will be pulled out of their current prep school in Battersea and are all expected to start school locally when the new academic term begins in September.

The move also represents a fresh start for the senior royals and their five-strong family as they continue to cement their place among the most influential members of The Firm.

Speaking about creating The Cambridges in miniature form, Paula Laughton, Chief Model Maker at Legoland Windsor Resort, said: ‘The Resort has always had a special connection with the Royal family so to welcome our new neighbours, our talented Model Makers are giving the royals a brick-tastic housewarming present by recreating the family in miniature form.

‘The Royal Removal scene will go on display throughout September, and we hope to welcome the Duke and Duchess and their family to the Resort to see their figures very soon!’
