Samantha Ronson had nothing but nice things to say to her ex Lindsay Lohan amid news that the actress is expecting her first baby with her husband, Bader Shammas.
“I wish her all the best. It’s always great news when someone is expecting a baby,” the British DJ told TMZ Tuesday.
Ronson, 45, and Lohan, 36, dated on and off for a few years before the pair finally parted ways in 2009.
Years after their split, Lohan clarified that her relationship with Ronson was more amicable than romantic.
In 2012, the “Freaky Friday” star reminisced about their “toxic” romance.
“I needed to love myself first before I could be with anyone,” she told Us Weekly at the time. “And I was going through a lot. Two toxic people cannot be together. End of story.”
Lohan added, “We’re friends now. That’s how it started, so I think that’s what’s meant to be.”
And in January 2019, the “Mean Girls” star told Howard Stern that she and Ronson “were friends more than anything,” adding, “We were always more like best friends as well.”
On Tuesday, Lohan announced on Instagram that she and Shammas, 36, were expecting their first child together.
“We are blessed and excited! 🙏🤍👶🍼,” Lohan wrote in her caption alongside an image of a baby onesie adorned with the words, “coming soon.”

The “Parent Trap” actress’ rep told Page Six, “She is feeling great and she is thrilled.”
And Ronson isn’t the only one who is elated for Lohan to become a mother. Her father, Michael Lohan, said his eldest daughter will “make an unbelievable mom.”
“She’s waited a while but everything is coming at the right time,” he told the Daily Mail on Tuesday.
The actor, 62, added, “It’s so amazing to welcome another grandchild into the world. It’s a totally new chapter in her life.”
Page Six exclusively confirmed that Lindsay and Shammas tied the knot in July 2022, more than a year after she announced their engagement.
The actress met the Kuwait-born financier in 2019 after relocating to Dubai five years prior.
