Sam Smith worships at the altar of Madonna.

The “Unholy” singer won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song with Kim Petras at Sunday’s Grammys 2023, making history at the musical awards show and getting an onstage introduction from the Queen of Pop herself.

Smith (who uses “they/them” pronouns) posted an Instagram photo with Madonna on Friday, thanking the icon for her blessings.

“Overwhelmed, grateful and inspired. Thank you for your love and support @madonna. I’ll never forget your kindness,” they wrote.

Smith, 30, wore a sheer red Valentino look in the snap while posing next to Madonna, 64, who channeled her inner dominatrix in an Agent Provocateur corset, piles of diamond necklaces, fishnet tights and a riding crop.

Madonna, meanwhile, was criticized for her “changing” face at the Grammys; the “Like a Virgin” later clapped back at the backlash, saying she is “caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny.”

Wrote Madge on Instagram, “I have been degraded by the media since the beginning of my career but I understand that this is all a test and I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come.”

And she did just that, showing off the NSFW accessories she brought to the Grammys and making out with songwriter Jozzy in a playful video posted post-broadcast.

Clearly, Madonna’s not putting away her lingerie — and has no plans to hang up her riding crop.
