Married at First Sight line up 2022: Meet the brides and grooms as show returns to E4

Married At First Sight UK will be making a return to our TV screens later this year, and we've got a sneak peek at the singletons who are set to walk down the aisle on the 2022 series.

The hit show is back with an even bigger and better series than the last, and there's a whopping 30 episodes packed full of drama and romance this time round.

The contestants will meet their partner for the very first time on their wedding day before going on to put their relationship to the ultimate test when they head on a luxury honeymoon together, before going on move in with each other and their fellow couples.

Relationship experts Melanie Schilling, Paul C. Brunson and Charlene Douglas will all be returning to help this year's couples form long-lasting connections.

Let's meet the cast of Married at First Sight UK 2022…

Adrian

Adrian is digital designer from Manchester, who has a keen eye for fashion and loves to express himself through his appearance.

The 37 year old loves socialising and hosting dinner parties, and admits he's been a "serial dater" for the last three years but is now hoping to settle down.

Adrian hasn't had the best experiences with romance and claims people tend to take advantage of his nice guy persona.

He's searching for someone who will make him laugh, is up for an adventure and more importantly, someone who is trustworthy.

Duka

Recruitment HR coordinator Duka moved to the UK when he was 10 years old, after his family fled the former Yugoslavia to escape conflict.

The 31 year old couldn't speak any English when he arrived in the UK and was bullied because of it. Duka claims that his struggles growing up have helped to shape the man he is today – he finds it difficult to let people in and tends to put his guard up when he grows close to someone emotionally.

Duka says he's never right the girl as the ones he tends to fancy are often superficial and he gets bored easily. He's now searching for someone who loves looking after herself and enjoys having deep conversations about world issues.

George

He was left heartbroken when his relationship with his wife broke down and now George, who hails from Worcester, is looking for love again.

The 40 year old has struggled to find the right woman after splitting from his wife, who he shares four children with. He lives in the countryside with his two eldest children, and while George is content with everything in his life, he feels something is missing.

He is an old fashioned romantic and is looking for someone who excites him and will keep him on his toes. "My only concern is that I might not be good enough for her," the dad-of-four admitted ahead of his stint on MAFS UK.

Jordan

Account manager Jordan, 29, is hoping that the experts at MAFS can help him to find someone to settle down with, as he's looking to get married and have kids in the neat future.

He's an outgoing guy who loves an adventure, and claims he's a "great catch" as he owns his own, has a great job, shares a close bond with his family and does all his own cooking.

Jordan is open about his feelings but is not willing to settle with someone for the sake of being comfortable. He admits he has been an over thinker in the past and can be too particular about what he wants.

Opening up about what he's looking for, Jordan, who hails from Darlington, said: "I want to get married and have kids, and the clock is ticking."

Kwame

A confident and sophisticated business owner hailing from London, Kwame, 42, wants another chance at finding love after splitting from his wife.

He says he's done it all, from travelling and carving out a successful career to getting married and having kids, and while he admits he's a bit cocky he also says he's a nice guy and isn't arrogant.

Kwame hasn't always been so confident however, as he explains that due to his appearance he lacked confidence when he was growing up but that all changed when he went to college and bulked up and grew his beard. He then went on to win Mr Ghana in 2000 and has never looked back.

The 42 year old has said he's not just looking for "a match" but a new wife on MAFS.

Pjay

Also looking for his perfect match is 31 year old Pjay, who is a dancer and performer from Birmingham.

Pjay is a member of the world famous dance group Dreamboys, and while he's understandably never short of female attention, he can't seem to find the right person to settle down with.

His ex-partners have struggled with trust but Pjay believes in providing reassurance when he's off on tour or performing for thousands of fans. Pjay's future wife will need to impress his mum however, as he states that she and his sister are his best friends.

"I want to find out who I really am. I've got a lot of love to give and I just want too give it 110%," the 31 year old admitted ahead of his MAFS stint.

Richie

Richie, 51, previously worked in the music industry for 23 years and credits his work for keeping him young.

He boasts a few celebrity contacts too, with one of the songs he wrote appearing on a Russell Watson album and he's also done session work with Sheryl Crow in the past.

Richie, who is from Sheffield, considers himself to be emotional, clever and socially and emotionally intelligent.

Hoping to find true love on MAFS, Richie stated: "I don't care what the consequences are or what they uncover – never underestimate a man who has got nothing to lose."

Thomas

Hailing from Liverpool, 31 year old Thomas is bursting with energy and humour, and he admits he loves being the centre of attention.

He works as a mental health care assistant and is extremely sociable and unapologetically loud. Thomas' worst nightmare would be for someone to describe him as "nice", and he's not one to back down in an argument.

He's hoping the MAFS experts can find him someone who will help balance him out, but he's not prepared to waste anyone's time.

"I'm really concerned they might not like me. That's ok, but I don't want to waste their time or my own time," the 31 year old admitted.

April

She's a successful wedding dress designer, but April, 32, is hoping she can finally be the bride this time instead of the designer.

April, who is from London, is highly ambitious and driven and is determined to succeed in everything she does; she came second in her first two Miss Great Britain pageants, but she returned the following year to take home the title.

The 32 year old hopes to find someone who doesn't mind her being independent and is prepared to life live to the fullest with her. However, if they don't like cheese then she's not interested.

Chanita

After coming out of a 10-year relationship two years ago, Chanita, 29, has decided it's time to search for love again and she's hoping to find someone who she can start a family and build a stable home life with.

She lives in Derby, where she works as a social worker after deciding she wanted to dedicate her life to helping young people after she left school. Chanita is super sociable and makes friends wherever she goes, and many think of her as their best friend.

Opening up about her reasons for going on MAFS, she said: "It's so hard to pick out the right people, so I thought why not give the experts a challenge and they can do all the hard work for me."

Jenna

Having always hated the traditional concept of marriage, 32 year old Jenna never envisaged herself walking down the aisle and tying the knot.

However, the small business owner from Blackpool has now decided she wants to find love, commit to someone and build a long life together.

Jenna revealed that she's put her trust into the MAFS experts as she doesn't like dating apps and doesn't go out anywhere in order to meet someone, so she sees the show as the "only way" she can hopefully find someone.

Jess

Jess, 31, from Cambridgeshire, is aiming to find someone to settle down with after failing to find the right man.

The dental hygienist describes herself as unique, extremely fun and outgoing, and her future partner has to match her energy.

Jess tends to move too quickly in relationships and skips the "dating part", and she doesn't really think about the consequences of her actions.

A self-proclaimed Harry Potter fanatic, Jess' future husband must be prepared to sit thought HP marathons with her and even wear one of her cloaks.

Kasia

Kasia is a businesswoman from London and while she boasts a thriving career, her love life hasn't been so successful.

After leaving school at the age of 16 to have her first child, the 36 year old felt the odds were stacked against her but after working extremely hard and remaining determined, Kasia now owns her own body contouring clinic.

The mum-of-two has decided to focus on herself now her children are older and is looking to meet her perfect match, who she can settle down with forever.

"I’m successful in a lot of other areas in my life and I’ve been through a lot, but the one area that I’m not successful in is my love life," Kasia admitted.

Lara

She's lived an extraordinary life but now former dancer Lara, 49, is looking to find the right man to settle down with and introduce to her two sons.

Lara, who now works as a waitress in Nottingham, considers her parents to be her relationship role models, as they've been married for 51 years and are best friends.

Her high standards have meant that she's often let red flags slide to try and make relationships work in the past, with little success.

Lara, who has been single for 12 years, admitted: "The experts couldn't pick any worse than I could pick."

Whitney

Whitney, 31, is a personal assistant from St Albans and has decided that it's finally the right time for her to give someone a chance, but she's never found a man who ticks all of her boxes.

She's dated lots of men on a superficial level but she's yet to find anyone good enough to take home to her family. However, Whitney fears that her high expectations are stopping her from finding her perfect match and now she fears being 50 and single.

So, she's decided that putting her love life in the hands of the MAFS experts might be her only solution. "I need to get my sh*t together and embrace the situation," the 31 year old admitted ahead of her appearance on the show.

Zoe

Also searching for love is Zoe, 30, who is a quantity surveyor from the West Midlands.

She's outgoing and ambitious and describes herself as dominant and assertive, but she's now looking for someone who she can share her softer side with.

After recently turning 30, Zoe decided she no longer wants to be a serial dater and is looking to settle down and start a family.

Speaking about her love life, she said: "I've never been with someone and though 'I want to grow old with you'".
