Meghan Markle’s engagement ring is the world’s most Googled royal ring

Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, obtains the most amount of searches for her engagement ring than any other royal.

The stunning royal, who married Prince Harry on the 19 May 2018, got engaged to the Duke of Sussex back in November 2017, and quickly became a national style icon.

Meghan's ring gathers 20,000 searches a month, which is double the amount of the second most Googled royal engagement ring, her sister in law Kate Middleton.

The former actress turned princess' ring is a six-carat, cushion cut diamond, designed by her husband and father of her two children, Prince Harry – and is estimated to cost £100,000.

Meghan's ring also features a centre diamond from Botswana, and the two smaller diamonds on either side belonged to Harry's beloved mother, Princess Diana, from her own collection.

There's no wonder Meghan often flaunts her stunning rock, it's hard to miss!

Up next in the top engagement ring searches is Meghan's sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, who wed husband Prince William back in 2011, after getting engaged in November 2010.

The Duchess of Cambridge's ring is a 12-carat, oval blue sapphire with a halo of diamonds, which was originally Princess Diana's engagement ring.

Kate's stunning ring receives 8,200 searches a month, which is triple the rest of the royal rings on the list.

Grace Kelly is third on the ranking, with the movie-star turned princess turning in 3,900 searches a month.

The stunning star wed Prince Rainier of Monaco way back in 1956, and remained happily married until Kelly tragically died in a car accident in 1982.

Grace Kelly's gorgeous ring was a 10-carat, emerald-cut diamond from Cartier, and is worth nearly £3 million.

Following on from Grace we have Princess Margaret, which gathers 3,400 searches a month on Google.

Margaret's gorgeous ruby trilogy ring, surrounded by smaller diamonds, was designed by her future husband Anthony Armstrong-Jones to resemble a rosebud – after Margaret’s middle name: Rose.

Finally we have our Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth, who's engagement ring which was given to her by Prince Philip in 1947 – is also high on the list, with 2,600 searches a month.

The 3-carat, round solitaire, set in platinum and featuring five diamonds on each shoulder, was crafted from a tiara owned by Prince Philip’s mother, Princess Alice of Battenburg, and is valued at an estimated £100,000.
