Michael Douglas posted a sweet tribute to his late father, Kirk Douglas, on the one-year anniversary of his death.

“Can’t believe it’s been a year since you left us,” he captioned a photo on Instagram Friday. “At 103, you picked a good time to check out. I love you with all my heart! #KirkDouglas”

Douglas’ wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, commented, “Love you Pappy???.”

“One of a kind, a legend, loved by all,” Anthony Hopkins wrote, while Alec Baldwin added, “He was the King.”

Kirk passed away on Feb. 5, 2021 at age 103.

“To the world, he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian whose commitment to justice and the causes he believed in set a standard for all of us to aspire to,” Michael wrote in a statement at the time. “But to me and my brothers Joel and Peter he was simply Dad.”

During quarantine, Kirk’s widow, Anne, celebrated her 101st birthday with a car procession held by friends and family.
