Winter Fuel Payments are usually worth between £100 and £300, but the amount depends on a number of factors.
Age, living arrangements and whether you claim benefits can determine how much you receive.
But this winter, the Government is also giving eligible households an extra £300 due to the cost of living crisis.
The Winter Fuel Payment is for Brits born on or before September 25, 1956.
In order to qualify, you must have lived in the UK for at least one day in the qualifying week for winter 2022/23 which is September 19-25.
You might still get the payment if you live outside the UK if:
You live in Switzerland or a European Economic Area (EEA) country
You have "a genuine and sufficient" link to the UK – this can include having lived or worked in the UK, and having family in the UK
The Winter Fuel Payment will be paid automatically if you're eligible and you get the state pension or another social security benefit.
