She explained that she fills up a large Igloo jug with water and ice cubes every morning to drink throughout the day, and it suddenly started to taste sweet
‘The past two days it’s had this weird, crazy aftertaste, but it’s been really good,’ she said. ‘It’s tasted kind of sweet.’
Trish explained that she uses a Brita filter and couldn’t figure out where the taste was coming from. She thought it might have the canteen and tried cleaning it out before refilling it.
‘I washed it. Filled it up with my ice and my water. Low and behold it still tastes sweet. Like, what in the world is going on?’ she recalled.
‘Even my kids were like, “Oh Mom, this water is delicious. What’s in it?” Hell if I know.’
Trish finally discovered that the issue had nothing to do with the water or her Igloo container — it was the ice cubes she was using.
The mom shared that her whipped cream flavored vodka had been leaking into the ice tray, which led to the sweet aftertaste.
