Monster launch alcoholic tipples that taste just like the energy drinks

Monster has launched a variety of boozy drinks – and they taste the same as their energy drinks.

Yes, you read that right.

Rejoice energy drink and alcohol fans as you can – almost – enjoy both at once, and not just in a shot form.

Monster, owned by Coca-Cola, recently released four flavours of The Beast Unleashed drinks that replicate the flavours of some of the favourite energising products.

Mean Green is modelled on the taste of the original Monster and White Haze is alike the Monster Energy Zero Ultra.

The range also includes Peach Perfect and Scary Berries.

Despite the boozy drinks tasting similar to the original energy products, they will not contain any caffeine.

Although, they are 6% ABV (alcohol by volume) so we're happy to make that compromise!

Last year, CEO Rodney Sacks explained that the new products will be "distinguishable from the many hard seltzer brands that have become so ubiquitous over the last several years."

According to the packaging: “Our original crew has been making drinks for 30+ years now.

“Our favourite brand Monster is about to turn 21. We figure why not celebrate the big day by making an adult beverage. We hit delete on the energy blend, cut out the caffeine, and ditched the sugar.

“Next, we brewed up the smoothest tasting alcohol ever and blended it with our tried and true flavours. The Beast is Unleashed! Great taste, six point 'oh my' percent alcohol, and no sugar to weigh you down.”

And it seems like the new drinks have gone down a treat with Monster fans.

One said: "All I need in life is the new monster energy The Beast Unleashed."

“Classic green Monster! I know the alcohol is there, but can’t taste it," another claimed.

While a third said: “It tastes like the original, but with an alcohol kick.”

At the moment, the alcoholic Monster drinks are only available across a select few states in the US.

But, fear not.

The CEO teased that the boozy versions of Monster could make their way across all of the US and cross the Atlantic in the near future.

“Our alcohol innovation pipeline is robust, with a number of additional innovative product lines currently under development," Rodney Sacks said.

“We look forward to sharing such additional alcohol beverage products at a later date.”

Fingers crossed!
