Commenting on the findings, a spokesperson for Maxima Kitchen Equipment said: “With Chigs, Giuseppe and Crystelle all prepared to face the final tonight, this data provides a fascinating insight into what sort of exposure and income the winner can expect to earn once they get their hands on the trophy.
"Not only can they expect to make a lot of profit from projects such as recipe book deals, TV shows and appearances, but social media posts will also provide a lot of income if they utilise their platforms well.”
On the last episode of the show, Giuseppe was speechless as he was crowned the winning baker of the cooking competition after a final showdown alongside contestants Crystelle Pereira and Will ‘Chigs’ Chirag.
The three finalists did their best to beat each other to the top with their baking skills during their last tasks under the watchful eyes and critiques of judges Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith.
Only Giuseppe was able to gain the honorary champion title of the 12th series though after turning out an impressive Mad Hatter's Tea Party bake with delicious looking sweet and savoury treats.
