Mrs Hinch shares clever DIY Christmas gift box tip that costs less than £5

Mrs Hinch is best known for her cleaning tips and tricks which she shares with her Instagram followers, but she dipped her hand into Christmas decor this week.

The influencer, Sophie Hinchliffe, 31, has a whopping 4.2million loyal fans, and she loves to share her latest projects with them on social media.

And, with the festive season upon us she showed off her latest creative work – and it will cost you less than £10 to follow her lead.

The mum-of-two decided to decorate some plain brown gift boxes for the Christmas season which can be used for either decoration or to hand out presents.

Posting on her Stories, she showed herself drawing on the boxes with a white chalk pen.

You can pick up a white chalk pen for £1.50, super glue fr £1 and plain gift boxes for £1.79 at Hobbycraft.

Sophie captioned the Story, and said: “Good Evening everyone, 10pm and I’m just sitting here with my chalk pen and gift boxes.”

She drew a vase onto the box and then used glue to stick some fresh, leafy twigs to the front and fluffy dried flowers.

You can pick the twigs for free from your garden and buy bunches of dried flowers from places like DaisyShop for between 99p and £10.99.

Meaning that if you choose the cheaper options you could spend just £5.29 for a hand crafter decoration box. Amazing!

Sophie’s second box came in even cheaper as she simply drew a tiny village scene on the box with the chalk pen making it cost £3.29 in total.

What a great Christmas hack! We love it.
