Easter is still a couple of months away but we’re already dreaming of hot cross buns.
And if you wanted to push the boat out with celebrations this year, you might want to snap up these unusual buns.
Marks and Spencer has launched Marmite hot cross buns.
They also contain mature cheddar and Red Leicester cheeses that are great for those with a savoury tooth.
The yeast spread is very divisive so the buns clearly won’t be to everyone’s taste.
But if you hate raisins you’re in luck as the Easter time treats don’t contain any dried fruit.
You can pop slices of cheese or a dollop of Marmite on top of the savoury buns after they’re toasted.
It should give you a savoury tang to balance out the spiced dough.
If this sounds like your dream hot cross bun, you can pick up the treats from M&S at the moment.
The limited edition items retail for £1.65 for a four pack.
Alternatively, you can currently snap the festive bakes up in a deal by getting two packets for £2.50.
As expected, the Marmite hot cross buns have left M&S shoppers divided.
One shopper gushed: “Marmite hot cross buns from M&S are a wonderful start to the day.”
Another said: “Omg… fitness plan just went out the window! #FoodGoals.”
And a third swooned: "M&S cheese and Marmite hot cross buns are in-f***ing-credible.”
A fourth was less positive though, remarking: “Cheese and Marmite?! Are you insane.”
