A woman has claimed her mother never took any photographs of her when she was a child because the thought she "looked like E.T.".
Chanelle Anderson, from Cellardyke, Anstruther, recently opened up about how she's desperate to try and track down some pictures of herself growing up so she can show her children.
The 30-year-old hopes the power of storytelling and social media will help people be able to trace some snaps of her during her time at school.

The mum said it was a few months back that she started to realise it would be a good idea to try and track down some snaps of herself as a child after she had a conversation with her son about who people look like.
At the time Chanelle said her son asked: "What did you look like when you were little?", and she replied with the answer: "I don't actually know'."
She said this was all due to the fact that when she was growing up her mother said she didn't take any pictures of Chanelle, because she thought she looked like an alien.
Chanelle recalled going through some pictures of her grandmother's in the past – and, at the time, she couldn't find any of her included in the snaps.
When she eventually asked her mother why there was none of her, her mother was said to have told her: "There are no pictures of you – you looked like E.T.
"You were a very ugly baby so I didn't take pictures of you."
Chanelle added: "There were some really nice pictures of my brothers, and there was none of me."
The mum admitted to being a little taken-a-back at the time – but now she has a family of her own.
Even though her family didn't keep pictures of her, she's determined to try and track some down, so she turned to social media to try and get some help.
Chanelle said: "I posted in a local group on Facebook – I don't live in St Andrew's anymore, but I did when I was younger.
"I have had no pictures ever since, but I did have a copy of a picture from my primary school that was put on Facebook years ago.
"I have had a couple of messages from people reaching out saying 'my mum may have pictures.'
"It's the same messages I have been getting since posting on the Facebook group, but I haven't actually seen any pictures yet."
Chanelle attended a few schools when she was younger including Cellardyke Primary School, Langlands Primary School and the Waid Academy.
Now the proud mum is hoping some people will reach out to her who may have snaps so she can look back on her childhood.
Chanelle also said she remembers having her pictures taken at school, but she said her mum never bought copies of them.
"She never bought any," Chanelle added.
"She never had them so I never got to see.
"I remember the pictures were taken, but I don't remember ever having them.
"I did have one. A teacher gave me one of the pictures and said 'your mum didn't buy a copy – would you like one?'
"I still have that. It's a prized possession."
Due to the fact that she didn't have any pictures of herself growing up, she says she now makes every effort to take pictures of her own children.
She likes to document all the big moments, and will ensure they have some copies to look back on.
Chanelle added: "I take so many pictures on my phone – there's no storage at all.
"I have everything – absolutely everything of the kids – and they all have their own boxes."
