Mum of Britains biggest family to splash £5k on Christmas gifts for 22 kids

Christmas is all about spending time with loved ones and treating them too.

That means it is the time of year for many to have a bit of a splurge – and for mum-of-22, Sue Radford, this is not an exception.

For Britain's biggest family, The Radfords, the festive spirit has truly arrived.

Matriach of the large household, 46-year-old Sue, has shared that the bunch have put up their first Christmas tree.

She says it's their "first" because Sue and her brood of 22 have previously put up seven trees around their 10-bed home in Morecambe.

Last year to spread some extra holiday spirit, Sue and partner Noel put trees up in their living room, kitchen and on their front porch.

Even four of the kid’s were lucky enough to have a colourful tree to decorate their rooms.

But what about the presents to go under them?

For previous Christmas celebrations, 46-year-old Sue shared that she spent £5,000 on her kids’ presents.

Wanting to make sure that their brood has the merriest of Christmases, they fork out between £100 to £250 each on the kids.

They even spend £300 on a festive food shop!

So in the months leading up to December the couple must save every last penny to go on their Christmas shopping spree.

Although they are Britain’s biggest family, they do not rely on benefits but are financially supported by their pie shop business.

Sue even has a Christmas gift giving hack, that saves her a lot of time and a lot of writing.

Instead of placing the gifts under the tree, Sue has bought a personalised Santa sack for each child.

It saves the gifts getting mixed up too!

Having that many presents to give, requires Sue to be speedy on the wrapping front.

She even is a self-proclaimed “demon wrapper.”

Sue even says that she can wrap 20 presents in only 15 minutes, which means she can get hundreds of gifts ready in one evening.

Incredibly, Noel and Sue get through a whopping 70 rolls of wrapping paper around Christmas time.

The parents even stay up till 1am on Christmas morning peeling veg and potatoes, ready for their massive dinner.

Noel has previously shown how he cooks the 10kg turkey and 7kg of potatoes and Brussels sprouts.

They even shove 50 Yorkshire puddings in the oven!

After the kids open their presents by 6:30am , the day consists of board games, films and of course playing with presents.

Luckily the household has a dishwasher, as it takes at least five cycles to clean all of the dirty dishes.

The big family even manages to get through six tins of Quality Street.

Sue and Noel are parents to Chris, 32, Sophie, 27, Chloe, 26, Jack, 24, Daniel, 22, Luke, 21, Millie, 20, Katie, 19, James, 18, Ellie, 16, Aimee, 15, Josh, 14, Max, 12, Tillie, 11, Oscar, 10, Casper, nine, Hallie, six, Phoebe, five, Archie, four, Bonnie, three, and Heidie, one.

Tragically, the couple's 17th child Alfie was stillborn in July, 2014.
