Mum raging at man who pushed her to press wrong buttons wins £7m lottery ticket

A mum accidentally won a lottery prize for a ticket she was never meant to buy.

LaQuedra Edwards, 41, only planned to spend $40 (£30) on a couple of lottery tickets in November 2021.

But when she arrived at a store in La County Vons, US, a random man brushed past her which pushed her against the machine.

As she fell onto the machine, she accidentally hit the wrong buttons and bought a single $30 (£23) 200X Scratchers ticket.

After initially feeling angry at the man, it soon changed when she realised she had a life-changing winning ticket worth millions.

She said: "He just bumped into me, didn't say a thing and just walked out the door."

LaQuedra added: "I'm still in shock. All I remember saying once I found out how much I just won was, "I'm rich!"'

The California resident was left in disbelief due to the amount of money she won which will change her life.

She admitted when she got on the motorway, she couldn't take her eyes off the winning prize.

The mum confessed: "I got on the 405 freeway and kept looking down and it and almost crashed my car.

"I pulled over, looked at it again and again, scanned it with my [CA Lottery] app, and I just kept thinking this can't be right."

Once she got back home, she started to claim the life-changing sum of money.

After all the checks were complete, she is now set to become a multimillionaire.

She has not worked out what to spend all the money on, but has a couple of ideas.

Her first plan is to use some of the money she's won to buy a house and then to put some aside to start a non-profit.
