A mum was left red-faced when she was refused entry to a restaurant because of her back tattoo.
Katie Hally went to an upscale restaurant on the Gold Coast to celebrate her friend's 45th birthday and was blocked by the security at the door.
She was told that she had violated the bar's "tattoo policy".

The Queensland mum told 9News what happened.
She said: "I've been to Burleigh Pavilion a million times, I literally live 250 metres around the corner. I've worn the exact same outfit, had a jacket over my arm.
"I offered to put that on but yeah, wasn't allowed to do that."
Pictures shared to the Australian outlet show Katie's outfit – a burnt orange vest with her tattoo visible from the back.
The inking is of three Chinese characters – family, happiness and love.
Katie felt horrible after being denied.
She decided to head back home and changed to a collared shirt and headed to the bar again.
"The security guard didn't give me a second look, I was like 'hey, take two' and he was like 'what are you on about?'," she added.
"I think it's a bit crazy, they are not rough tattoos. But even with rough tattoos, they are still beautiful people.
"So a bit of a shame there."
Burleigh Pavilion's tattoo policy stated "patrons with tattoos are allowed to enter unless if they are intimidating, aggressive, or offensive".
Since the story went viral, the beachfront bar apologised.
They wrote in a statement: "Management became aware of the incident after media reports.
"[We] acknowledge that in accordance with policy, Katie should have been welcomed into the venue.
"Burleigh Pavilion's house policy is in place to create a comfortable and enjoyable environment for our guests."
