DEAR DEIDRE: OUR son is worried he may lose his house if he can’t pay the mortgage.
He’s 41, has three daughters and works for a courier company.
Things were tight as it was but a few weeks ago he slipped in the snow and broke his shoulder.
He’s had two operations and a plate put in. Having only recently moved to a new courier firm, he was only given statutory sick pay and his savings have now run out.
We are pensioners. I’m his dad, aged 73. We are only just managing to pay the electricity bill and we shop as cheaply as we can.
Is there anybody who could help him and his family out financially until he can get back to work?

DEIDRE SAYS: Your son needs some expert advice until he can drive again. Rather than bottling up his worries, he would be better talking to his mortgage company and explaining the situation.
He may have the sort of mortgage where he can take a payment holiday given these circumstances.
My support pack Solving Debt Problems will show him other organisations to call.
He won’t be like this for ever and I really hope he can find the support he needs.
