Too close for comfort?
Pedro Pascal admitted that, following the success of “Game of Thrones,” he let fans put their fingers in his eyes, which caused him to get an infection.
During a recent episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Actor Roundtable, Pascal told Kieran Culkin, Jeff Bridges, Michael Imperioli, Evan Peters and Damson Idris about his most memorable interactions with fans.
“I remember, earlier on, because of ‘Game of Thrones’ and the way my character died, people were super into taking selfies with their thumbs in my eyes,” he explained as the rest of the ground around him laughed.
In a very graphic scene in Season 4, Pascal’s character, Oberyn Martell, was killed during a fight to the death with Gregor “The Moutain” Clegane. The latter had gouged his eyes out and crushed his skull.
“At first, I was so earnest and happy about the success of the character in the show, and I’d let them! In New York, of all places!” the 48-year-old Chilean actor admitted. “And then I remember getting a bit of an eye infection.”

During the interview, the “Last of Us” actor also addressed fans’ latest craze of calling him “daddy” on social media.
“I am having fun with it, it seems a little role related,” he tried to explain while grasping the concept of it.
He noted that, in recent years, he has been cast in father roles, such as in “The Mandalorian” and “The Last of Us,” where he plays Joel Miller, a father figure to Ellie Williams.
Pascal then joked that he is “not a daddy and I ain’t going to be a daddy!”
The “Narcos” actor has always kept his personal life private. In fact, his last relationship dates back 20 years and he is not known to have a partner or children.
