Fashion trends come and go, but one look that’s never going out of style is polka dots – just take The Duchess of Cambridge for example. At Wimbledon this year, Kate proved that the print is here to stay as she stepped out in not one, but two polka dot outfits by designer Alessandra Rich.
It’s not the first time she’s championed the look either. For Royal Ascot, just a few weeks ago, the Royal stunned in yet another polka dot frock, with elegant ruffle detailing and a belt to match. What’s more, she wore a similar spotty dress to The Duke Of Edinburgh’s memorial in March.
But believe it or not, this summer’s must-have print isn’t only reserved for The Royals. Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore looked a vision on Sunday night’s Love Island: After Sun, when she took to our screens sporting a polka dot playsuit by Australian fashion label Zimmermann.
Taking inspiration from this year’s Love Island contestants, who in a move towards sustainability, have been supplied with secondhand clothing by the show’s official fashion sponsor eBay UK, the presenter’s playsuit was also pre-loved and purchased from the online marketplace.
