People in various parts of the UK will find that bargains can come right to their door very soon.
Poundland has announced plans to offer home delivery to customers, after a successful trial earlier this year.
2,500 products will be available to order online, with prices the same as in its 850 stores.
You can get your hands on all the usual items – including food and drink – with a flat delivery fee and no minimum spend.
At the moment, shoppers in the Birmingham, Walsall, Stoke-on-Trent, Derby, Wolverhampton and Dudley areas can use the website to order items.
Poundland says the following postcodes will have access:
- B1-98
- WS1-15
- WV1-98
- DE1-75
- DY1-14
- ST1-21
Home delivery for the budget retailer was initially tested near the Poundland warehouse in Cannock, Staffordshire.
18,000 staff and ‘guest shoppers’ trialled out the online shopping service, with it then being introduced in Birmingham to 1.8 million households.
This comes as Poundland opened two ‘convenience stores’ this weekend; smaller versions of their regular stores but with the same prices for items.
The Poundland Local shops opened in Kendray, South Yorkshire, and Hornsea, East Yorkshire, designed to give more people a chance to shop products closer to home as well as in urban areas.
At present it’s not known whether the company plans to expand into more Local stores or to expand its online offering.
What we do know, however, is that it might mean our online purchases aren’t quite so costly.
