Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s incredible £30m home where Queen’s corgis live

Not every divorced couple might be sold on the idea of living together after parting ways, but it hasn’t deterred Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson from continuing to share a stunning £30m home together.

Located in Windsor, just a stone’s throw away from the late Queen’s own residence, Andrew and Sarah continue to reside in the Royal Lodge, a beautiful period property that is currently Grade II listed.

The lavish manor has belonged to Andrew since 2002, when he inherited it from the Queen Mother upon her death – yet thanks to a little added charm from Sarah and their daughters Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, the residence has become far more homely and charming than the initial imposing impression of such a large home.

Even at a first glance, the sprawling property conveyed a formidable first impression, with crisp white stonework standing starkly juxtaposed to the greenery around it.

Set within 21 acres of immaculately tended gardens, the property is a world unto itself, offering privacy and seclusion away from prying eyes, while also serving as the perfect place to entertain large scale events.

This was the case for the weddings of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, in which the home was used for an evening reception on both occasions.

Although closed to the public, Sarah has continued to offer fans a glimpse inside her luxurious home as it continues to appear in the background of many of her posts on social media.

In one example, Sarah could be seen posing beside a sage green wall adorned with multiple pieces of artwork and photographs as she shared a behind the scenes snap from the royal wedding.

The picture was initially shared to show off Sarah’s stunning green dress for the occasion, but it was the cream carpets and personal touch of photographs that captured the attention – and hearts – of many members of the public.

In several of Sarah’s Youtube videos that were shared during the coronavirus lockdown, fans were also treated to a closer look at the inside of her conservatory, with her personality clearly shining through in her choice of decor.

Brightening up an otherwise unassuming space, Sarah added an impressive drinks cabinet, with several bottles visible in the back of the shot, along with a variety of flowers and plants, reflecting her keen interest in horticulture.

A rattan chair also took pride of place, with a blue and cream floral patterned cushion back also accompanied by a plush velvet cushion to add a little more comfort for long hours working.

There were also a few playful additions added to the decor too, with helium star balloons in metallic shades of green, black and gold, also visible on one particular special occasion.

In another charming shot, Sarah could be seen tucking into some delicious home-made bakes, while posing at a table.

In the background behind her a large tree adorned with blossom and teacups could be seen on the left, while a table, cup and lamp were situated on the right.

Yet it was a large white and wooden bookcase that first drew the eye, with a number of ornamental teapots, gingerbread houses and ornaments adding charm and personality to the space.

Although very few images have given fans a true glimpse into her bedroom, one small video clip did reveal that a stunning dressing table features in her home, complete with an elaborate three tiered mirror.

Alongside a vase of flowers, a small plate could be seen on the dressing table holding her hair comb, while a tissue box and several barrettes were scattered alongside it.

A beautiful lamp with a shaped shade also completed the room, while a large white wardrobe offered practical storage space.

Aside from modern glimpses into the home, a few historical ones also exist, with images from the royal archive, showing what the house looked like in previous years, when it was the country residence of King George VI and the Queen Mother.

In one impressive shot, a stunning marble fireplace could be seen complete with ornate carving details, while a large candelabra, clock and vase add a few more personal touches to the room.

Huge paintings also created a focal point in the room, with a basket of wooden logs clearly visible in the left of the shot, while a decorative rug provided a cosy floor covering.

In another jaw dropping image, a music room could also be seen, with a piano placed beside the window to make the best of the room’s natural light.

Carved details were also seen on the doors, while plants served as a running theme in both past and present iterations of the rooms.

Additionally, one particularly unique detail boasted by the property is a small cottage gifted to a young Queen Elizabeth from the people of Wales.

Set in the majestic grounds outside, the 2:3 scale cottage was once the perfect playhouse for the young royal as she lived with her parents at the royal lodge.
