Invictus Games: Prince Harry pays tribute to key workers
Prince Harry made the announcement about the Invictus Games in a new video. In the message, he spoke about the coronavirus crisis and gave thanks to key workers.
The games were originally set to take place in spring last year but, like many events, were pushed back due to Covid.
They were rescheduled to May this year, but have now been postponed until spring 2022.
The video message featured a range of former and current Invictus Games competitors.
They discussed the pandemic and encouraged everyone to stay positive as they looked forward to the upcoming Invictus Games.

The Duke of Sussex also shared his praise for those who have worked to help combat the virus.
Prince Harry stated: “To the key workers on the frontlines in the battle against the pandemic, we are with you.”
Analysing his speech during the video, Nic Redman from The Voice Coach Podcast claimed Prince Harry appeared genuinely passionate about the cause.
The royal made an effort to share his message without overshadowing others involved, Nic continued.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, she stated: “This is a cause Harry is incredibly passionate about.
“I think the tone of his voice and the pace of his speech, along with his general demeanour and energy show that he wants to offer his support but not stand out over the other participants in the video.”
Prince Harry officially stepped back from his royal duties in March 2020.
Since then, he has continued to speak out and support causes which are important to him.
While he has continued to speak up, the expert suggested his accent seemed different during his latest video.
She claimed the Duke has moved away from what is traditional for royals to appear “amongst the people”.
Nic continued: “He certainly comes over as warm and genuine vocally.
“He uses his more Estuary style, less traditionally ‘royal’ accent too, heard in the slight ‘w’ substitute for the ‘l’ sound in the word ‘world’.”
By doing this, Prince Harry could be trying to appear more relatable to those outside the royal social sphere, Nic added.
It could also have helped him show respect to those who are set to take part in the upcoming Invictus Games.
She stated: “This places him more amongst the people and less as someone who exists in a different social sphere.
“[By doing this] he shows respect for the event and it’s participants.”

The royal line of succession – who outranks who?
The line of succession to the British throne dictates the order in which each member of the Royal Family would ascend to the throne.
It is also seen as a ranking of importance with the head of the line, the Queen, taking the place of ruler.
Older children come before younger children. Traditionally boys came before girls, but this law was changed on 26 March 2015 before the birth of Prince William’s first child.
Incredibly, Catholics are still excluded from the line of succession, as are children born outside of wedlock.
The royals, who usually stick to a strict protocol when appearing in public, often arrive at events in ascending order of importance, with the most important royal arriving last.
Prince Charles, 72, is currently first-in-line to the British throne, followed by Prince William, 38, his oldest son.
Then comes Prince William’s children, George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two, and they are followed by Prince Harry, 36. Prince Harry is succeeded by his son Archie Harrison, born in May 2019.
