Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's closes confidantes make several appearances in their new Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan.
A short trailer for the second volume, which lands on the streaming service on Thursday, features pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with friends taken at their wedding reception at Frogmore House.
Harry appears suited and booted with his pals, with long-term friends Charlie van Straubenzee and James Holt pictured alongside the groom.
Here's everything we know about them…
Charlie van Straubenzee
Charlie van Straubenzee was part of Prince Harry’s 'Glosse Posse,' a group of friends from Gloucestershire. The The group consists of old friends of William and Harry’s who got to know him at Prince Charles’ estate in Highgrove.
According to People, Harry and Charlie two met at Ludgrove Prep School and have been close friends ever since.
He works as Head of UK Financial Intermediaries for Brown Advisor, an investment management firm.
Charlie and his brother Thomas were ushers in Harry and Meghan’s wedding. According to various reports, Charlie even gave a speech at Harry’s wedding during the evening reception at Frogmore House.
He reportedly made fun of Harry's role as dormitory monitor during their school days, even though he was the worst behaved kid of them all. “All I wanted was a cuddle from my mummy,” he said. “Instead, Harry nicked my teddy bear and chucked it out onto the roof.”
Charlie is also godfather to Harry and Meghan's three year old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
At Charlie's wedding in August 2018, Harry was his best man when he tied the knot with Daisy Jenks. Meghan also attended their wedding.
James Holt
Viewers of Harry and Meghan's Netflix docuseries will recognise James. He was Harry and Meghan's former spokesperson when they were senior royals, and now works alongside them at the Archewell Foundation.
In September 2017, James joined the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry in October 2017 as the Senior Communications Officer.
But it wasn't long before he obtained the role of Head of Communications in the Office of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex in October 2018 while still being a part of the Royal Foundation.
James left the Royal Foundation in September 2019 and started working with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as their Head of Engagement and Communications. This marked his end as a Palace Spokesman.
In March 2021, he became the Executive Director of the Archewell Foundation and remains close with both Meghan and Harry.
