The Queen made a sweet nod to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with a beautiful broach which she wore to the G7 summit on Friday.

It is believed the monarch, 95, wore the stunning Millet Brooch to the Eden Project in Cornwall because of the connection it had to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The Queen, whose grandson Peter Philips and ex-wife recently settled their divorce, was presented with the stunning piece of jewellery by the President of the Republic of Botswana at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Uganda in 2007.

The gold broach features a diamond and gold sorghum, or millet, which is the main crop of Botswana and is believed to hold sentimental value to the royal couple.

According to the BBC, Harry, 36, took Meghan, 39, for a romantic getaway to the South African country for their third date together in August 2016.

He told the news organisation: “I managed to persuade her to come join me in Botswana, and we camped out with each other under the stars.”

In another interview with Town and Country magazine, the duke claimed he felt “more like myself than anywhere else in the world” when with Meghan in Botswana.

It is believed that the trip to the bush camp Meno a Kwena is where the royal couple, who recently revealed they want to "keep the peace" after their tell-all interview, first fell for each other.

Back in 2019, Meghan surprised her husband with a camping trip in their back garden as she recreated the memorable holiday at their then-home in Frogmore Cottage.

Meghan managed to get her hands on the identical sleeping bags the pair first camped out on in 2017 and they committed to a night under the stars just like they did all those years ago.

This comes after the happy couple welcomed their second child, Lilibet, ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, named after the Queen and Prince Harry’s late mother Princess Diana.

The Queen was one of the first people to be introduced to the new addition to the family after the sleep deprived couple called the monarch when they returned from the hospital.

A source told People magazine: “They were very excited and couldn’t wait to share that their daughter had arrived.”

However not all members of the royal family have been introduced to the little lady, as Kate Middleton confirmed that she hasn’t yet met Lilibet since she was born.

When asked by a reporter during the G7 summit whether they’d had a chance to meet the baby girls, Kate said they “wish her all the very best,” but haven’t met her yet.
