Rihanna slays on the Oscars red carpet in bump-hugging cutout gown

Rihanna single-handedly stole the show at the 2023 Oscars 'champagne' carpet as she put her blossoming baby bump on display.

The pop superstar, 35, who was a late arrival, wore a skintight Alaia dress with a leather skirt and bodice, and sheer turtleneck underneath, which hugged her growing baby bump.

Rihanna completed her look with a bold red lip (no doubt from Fenty Beauty), eye-catching spiky up-do and sparkly jewellery pieces from Moussaieff.

She adorably cradled her belly as she posed on the carpet.

However, her chic look was lightyears away from the look she was caught on video wearing earlier in the evening.

Rihanna was seen walking into Los Angeles's Dolby Theatre in a grey Eagles T-shirt, Black Vans sneakers, an olive green bucket hat, a matching tote bag, sunglasses, and giant gold hoop earrings with a matching chain bracelet.

She will perform her Academy Award-nominated song, written for Marvel’s blockbuster sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at the 95th Annual Academy Awards

Her highly-anticipated performance comes exactly one month after her electrifying Super Bowl halftime show – where RiRi revealed her surprise second pregnancy.

The nomination marks the first time Rihanna has been shortlisted for an Academy Award.

Rihanna returned to the world of music on one of the biggest stages in the world, the halftime show at the Super Bowl.

The astonishing performance saw the Umbrella singer hoisted into the air on swinging platforms as she was flanked by dancers in white puffer coats.

American Sign Language interpreter Justina Miles was also featured in the show and applauded on social media for her animated approach to signing along to the singer’s biggest hits.

Following the performance, which Rihanna was not paid for due to an old rule, the Fenty beauty visionary was showered in champagne and congratulated by the likes of Adele.

The mum of one, soon to be two, further opened up about the performance and her return to music as Vogue’s March cover star.

One notable moment in the interview saw the Disturbia singer describe her son's birth as “beautiful” and reveal that mornings are her favourite as she loves to see her son’s “little wake-up face.”
