Rihanna’s eight-bedroom rented London mansion has $6.3 million slashed from its asking price after no buyers are found… six months after going on the market for $44.7 million
The sumptuous west London home formerly rented by pop superstar Rihanna has had $6.3million slashed from its asking price after failing to attract potential buyers. The home was previously rented by the Umbrella singer, 33, for a two and half year period.
Stunning: Originally listed for £32million ($44.7million) by estate agency Aston Chase in September 2020, the sprawling eight-bedroom property in leafy St. John’s Wood is now available to buy at the reduced price of £27.5million ($38.4million).
Old times: The home, conveniently situated close to London’s famous Abbey Road studios, was previously rented by Rihanna, 33, for a two and half year period at a reported cost of £18,000 ($25,200) per week. Rihanna – who was dating Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel while living at the property, before the end of their relationship in January this year – said in a previous interview that she loved living in London with the anonymity that being in a big city brings – and had been ‘keeping a little incognito’.
Lavish: The gated home comes complete with a carriage driveway with parking for up to ten cars, a gym, six bathrooms, a media room and two entire floors for entertaining. The exquisite property opens out on to manicured lawns in the landscaped gardens.
All yours: With a lavish white front, the five-story property sits behind high gates in the north west London community.
Unwind: The rear of the house features decking, comfortable shaded chairs and plenty of space to relax on warm summer days.
Come on in: A spacious living area features gleaming floors, an open staircase and furniture previously used by Rihanna during her two and a half year stay.
Comfort: An intimate second living area is filled with soft chairs, while large patio doors provide plenty of natural light.
All in one: An open plan dining room sits adjacent to one of the stunning property’s living areas.
Let me entertain you: The enormous dining table seats 12, making the space ideal for large gatherings and dinner parties.
Let’s eat: The large fully fitted kitchen is open plan with a central island, walk-in pantry, bar and separate wine storage.
The good life: Rihanna shared a snap of herself relaxing at the kitchen’s breakfast bar in September 2019. Rihanna fans were sent into a frenzy in 2019 after the singer revealed she’d been living in the capital for 12 months – with some already suspecting the move after she shared a selfie, taken inside the house, which featured a grocery bag from the UK supermarket Sainsbury’s.
Wash and go: The bathroom features a mounted TV and an arched window facing the read of the property.
Resting up: Manicured lawns are shielded by high trees that offer plenty of privacy from prying eyes.
