As part of her promotional tour for the book, Fergie chatted to Royal Central about her inspiration behind the characters and how she drew on her own experiences.

Speaking to the publication she said: ‘Marrying into the royal family is obviously an enormous privilege but it also comes with certain expectations.’

She also alluded to how she wanted to tackle the theme of ‘duty being pitted against other desires in life’.

The Duchess of York is still busy on Instagram, posting updates about her new romance novel, A Most Intriguing Lady.

Sarah Ferguson, 63, has been updating her Instagram stories frequently with news about her book, which is her second release.

Today, she shared a video which had animated the front cover of a hot air balloon, and offered fans the chance to buy it.

It follows her appearance on the This Morning sofa last week and a funny stint on Rylan’s BBC Radio 2 show at the weekend to promote the book.

The Queen’s Green Canopy, which was initially founded to encourage people to ‘Plant a Tree for the Jubilee’, officially ended this weekend with King Charles and the Prince of Wales planting the final shrubbery, in memory of the late Queen Elizabeth.

As the project ends, the organisation shared a beautiful mosaic on its Twitter account which is made up of images of people with their Jubilee trees, as well as their memorial trees for the late Queen.

Royal blogger Gert’s Royals noted that if you zoom in on the ‘E’ in the mural, you will see the King and the late Queen planting the first tree in the project, and if you zoom in on the ‘R’ you will see the King planting the last tree with Prince William this weekend.

As we say goodbye, we are proud to share a unique mosaic created to celebrate widespread community participation in the #queensgreencanopy🌳

Meanwhile across the pond, the Duchess of Sussex is set to be honoured with the 2023 Women of Vision award next month.

The gong will be awarded at a glitzy gala in New York by none other than Gloria Steinem.

On the website for the awards ceremony, Meghan is described as: ‘A feminist, champion of human rights and gender equity and global role model.’

We haven’t seen an awful lot of Princess Eugenie since she announced earlier this year that she was pregnant with her second child, but she made an appearance with her husband Jack Brooksbank in Mayfair this weekend and gave off a maternal glow.

The couple, who are expecting August’s younger sibling at some time this summer, looked happier than ever as they hopped off a traditional red bus which had been hired for guests at a wedding they were attending.

As the ex-New Zealand prime minister is announced as a trustee for the Earthshot Prize, she is continuing a long-held friendship with the Prince of Wales.

When she stepped down as prime minister, Kate and William wrote, ‘thank you for your friendship’ on Twitter, signalling a close relationship between the politician and the couple.

Meanwhile at the end of last year, Jacinda issued a statement about her appearance in a Netflix ‘docuseries’ presented by Meghan and Harry, with New Zealand‘s PM insisting she was unaware of the couple’s involvement when she agreed to take part.

However, the ex-PM was also known to have sent the Sussexes a bouquet of flowers when Prince Archie was born.

The busy week for the royals comes after King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla’s first state visit to Germany.

The visit included a glitzy state banquet, where Camilla, 75, shone.

She sported the honeycomb Boucheron diamond tiara, a favourite of the late Queen Mother that was also worn by Queen Elizabeth.

As the Prince and Princess of Wales spent two weeks at home with their three children Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, seven and Prince Louis, four, for the Easter school holidays, they will be keeping the children busy as always.

Kate, 41, is known for being an active mother and loves to spend time outdoors, so it’s likely the children will have plenty of opportunity to get some fresh air over the next few weeks.

So what might the Easter break have in store for the Wales children? Read our story to find out:

Yesterday a royal fan shared on social media the sweet thank-you card they had received from Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis of Wales after they had sent their well-wishes to the family at Christmas.

The card featured a photo of the Wales children with their parents on Christmas Day at Sandringham as they headed to the Church of St Mary Magdalene.

Outgoing New Zealand prime minister, who announced at the beginning of this year that she was stepping down from the role, has been revealed as the new member of the board of trustees for the Earthshot Prize.

The politician, 42, received a warm farewell message from the Prince of Wales when she stepped down from her role earlier this year in which he thanked her for her ‘friendship’.

Today the Earthshot Prize Instagram page announced the new appointment with a photo of Ms Ardern.

The caption read: ‘Her life-long commitment to sustainable development & climate action align powerfully with our ambition to protect and restore our planet by 2030.

‘We’re honored she joins us in this new role!’

It was re-shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales’s Instagram account on their Instagram story.

As the royals gear up for Maundy Thursday at York Minster this week, they may be doing things differently in their first Easter celebrations since Queen Elizabeth passed away in September 2022.

The late Queen chose to spend her Easter at Windsor Castle, with an Easter Sunday service for the whole family taking place at St George’s Chapel.

Royal expert Ingrid Seward told The Sun that this year’s events are more likely to be a celebration of the family and the late Queen’s legacy, rather than a sombre occasion, as they gear up for King Charles’s coronation in just a few weeks.

She said: ‘As Easter is early this year it is also the second anniversary of Prince Philip’s death on Easter Sunday and the Queen Mum died on Good Friday of Easter 2002 – 21 years ago. I think the mood will be happy as they were all very old but reflective.’

The big week for the royal family comes after King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla’s first state visit to Germany last week, which was a roaring success by all accounts.
