Scream fans seriously distracted by Courteney Cox's appearance in horror reboot's chilling first trailer

SCREAM fans were utterly bewitched by Courteney Cox's appearance in the first look at the iconic horror's upcoming reboot.

The official trailer for the Scream reboot finally dropped yesterday ahead of its release on January 14, and it has left viewers astounded.

But it’s not creepy psycho Ghostface who has got them all worked up – it’s Courteney Cox’s youthful appearance.

In the new movie, fresh-faced Courteney reprises her role as fame-seeking reporter Gale Weathers, and as one of the franchise’s less important characters, she doesn’t appear in the trailer until near the end.

When the equally age-defying Neve Campbell, who returns to relive her worst nightmare as heroine Sidney Prescott, asks “Are you ready?” Cox shakes her head and declares, “For this…never”.

In another scene, the 57-year-old appears with a terrified expression painted over her face without saying anything.

Then later, she can be seen screaming over another character’s shoulder at something horrifying off-camera.

Looking at how Twitter is gushing over the star’s ageless looks, it’s surprising nobody has suggested she’s shocked after seeing how her co-star and ex-hubby David Arquette has aged in comparison.

In response to the trailer, one fan wrote: “David Arquette looks old AF, but Courteney Cox looks almost as young as she did in the first movie.

"She aged even better than Neve Campbell. We love a queen”.

“I wonder if Courteney Cox actually knows how hot she is?” asked a second.

This isn’t the first time fans have gone nuts for Courteney’s stunning, youthful appearance, with the actress often receiving high praise on her social media.

However, questions have been asked. Is it all natural? Has the Alabama-born beauty perhaps sought a little help from a plastic surgeon or three?

Courteney put the rumours to rest when she admitted to having some work done in the past, but recently revealed she’s now letting nature take its course.

Speaking to New Beauty in 2017, she said: “Things are going to change. Everything’s going to drop.

"I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake.“You need movement in your face, especially if you have thin skin like I do.

"Those aren’t wrinkles – they’re smile lines. I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend”.
