Paul Rudd once tried to pull prank on his pal Seth Rogen, but it didn’t go quite as well as he’d hoped.
Rogen said he was once getting a massage at a hotel in Las Vegas when he turned over and realized Rudd was the one giving him the rubdown.
“He saw me go in and convinced the masseuse to let him take over, thinking I’d notice immediately,” the 39-year-old comedian tweeted on Monday.”
Unfortunately for Rudd, 52, Rogen was blissfully unaware of the swap, and the “Ant Man” actor allegedly finished out the rest of the massage.
Rogen didn’t specify when the prank happened.
Producer Jeremy Wein joked, “Are we sure this wasn’t a weed induced hallucination Seth?”
“I’m sure Paul would confirm it,” Rogen — who recently said he smoked an “ungodly amount” of weed during quarantine — wrote back, although a rep for Rudd didn’t immediately get back to us to confirm the tale.
“If anyone else did this, it’d be creepy. But it being Paul somehow makes it pure?” one fan commented, while another jokingly asked if he got a “happy ending.”
“Is Paul available for house calls? I’d like to book a couples massage for my boyfriend & I,” one woman wondered, while another swooned, “I’ve never wanted to be anymore more in any moment ever in the history of time, than I want to have been you, on that massage table.”
While it is unclear when Rogen and Rudd first met, they worked together on Judd Apatow flicks “The 40-Year-Old Virgin,” “Knocked Up” and “This Is 40.”
Meanwhile, Rogen also recently detailed his strange encounter with Tom Cruise, claiming that he and Apatow were lectured on Scientology from the “Top Gun” star. He said that Cruise also raved about Louis Farrakhan and blamed “the pharmaceutical industry” for his public image.
