A Depop shopper was left stunned after their order arrived in a loo roll wrapper.

The customer ordered a white jumper from the second hand clothing website – but was perplexed by the sellers choice of packaging.

While they were pleased with their cosy new jumper, they weren’t so happy about it being shipped in a Waitrose toilet paper wrapper.

Although the jumper fit perfectly into the high-end supermarket’s pack of nine loo roll bag, the customer felt the packaging wasn’t appropriate.

A Depop shopper has revealed that they received their order from a seller in clear Waitrose toilet paper packaging

In a direct message to the seller, they thanked them for the jumper but mocked them for their bizarre recycling choice.

They wrote, ‘Thanks for the jumper but I’d appreciate you not posting it in a toilet wrapper next time.’

But surprisingly, the seller saw no issue with their delivery method.

They hilariously responded: ‘What’s the issue? It’s literally clean.’

The Depop seller seemed to have taken the resell site’s advice to ‘reuse’ packaging a little too far.

The online store’s pacakging guide advisers users: ‘Reusing packaging is both better for the environment and it will save you money.

‘Being creative, resourceful and considerate of practices that are kinder to the planet are all excellent exercises in being an entrepreneur.’

The plastic loo roll wrapping this particular seller chose had successfully got the jumper through the post to its buyer, and obviously came without any of the nine loo rolls which were originally inside it.

It was covered with the Waitrose logo and also features a guide to spotting bowel cancer, from the supermarket’s partners from Bowel Cancer UK.

The awareness campaign lists the common symptoms of the disease on the front of the pack.

Many shoppers found humour in the exchange and slammed the customer for raising a complaint.

One customer, called Marth Southern joked: ‘Waitrose in this economy is luxury, consider yourself lucky.’

‘What’s the tissue,’ someone else quipped.

Another shopped said: ‘If someone sent me that I’d just think it was a clever way to reuse packaging.’

One – named Jaiain – added: ‘Seller just wants the buyer to know the early signs of bowl cancer I rate it.’

‘Reuse reduce recycle babe,’ said another shopper supporting the cause.

Meanwhile unimpressed seller, Zara, said: ‘Desperate times. Would never send it in bog roll packaging.’
