Snickers lovers thrilled as naughty feature is kept on the nutty chocolate bar

Snickers has finally spoken out about the rumours hinting that their nutty chocolate bars will be seeing the end of the much-loved X-rated feature.

Recently, a snap of a Snickers bar went viral on social media because its ridged top had seemed to have disappeared – and in its place was smooth layer of chocolate.

People began to wonder if Mars Inc. decided to give the phallic treat a makeover by "de-veining" it.

The worry that the 'veins' were going to be binned were first ignited when Mars announced in January 2022 that they were redesigning the green M&M character.

Chocolate enthusiasts learnt that the green shelled treat was a bit too promiscuous and so the company decided to alter the appearance to showcase the character's "personality, rather than their gender" in order to reflect a “more dynamic, progressive world".

At the time, CBS News reported: "The most notable changes include the green M&M’s redesign, which will exchange the white heeled go-go boots she was given in 1997 for 'cool, laid-back sneakers to reflect her effortless confidence.'

"Mars had received criticism for the green M&M’s sexy characterisation.

"The green M&M will also be 'better represented to reflect confidence and empowerment, as a strong female, and known for much more than her boots.'"

So, after the rounded treat toned down it's 'sex' appeal, people feared that their beloved veined bar was next on the list.

But talks on social media were not the only thing to make people believe that the X-rated mark was about to be ditched.

Male-lifestyle website, Mandatory, published an article back in January about Snickers and the removal on the cheeky vein.

And, imposter content was published in April on iFunny.com that said the rude ridges would be no more.

But, fear not.

If you are a vein enthusiast then good news, Snickers recently took to Twitter to announce they would not be burying the pattern.

They shared: "Good news, contrary to what's trending on Twitter… THE VEINS REMAIN!"

Since being posted, the tweet has now racked up 327,000 likes – and endless amounts of comments from overjoyed fans.

One person commented: "Snickers without the d*** veins wouldn't be the same."

Another user added: "Omg yes I love the veiny texture."

Someone else voiced: "Craving one right now!!"

And, even Twix responded: "Phew…close call."

Let us know in the comments what you think about the choice to keep the veins!
