Sofia Richie may have had the most elaborate wedding of the year when she tied the knot to Elliot Grainge last weekend. The couple held their wedding reception in the South of France on April 22 at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes.
Unsurprisingly, it was a star-studded event with many famous faces in attendance, including Cameron Diaz and Paris Hilton. Sofia’s older sister, Nicole Richie, was also there with her husband Joel Madden, while their proud father, Lionel Richie, can be seen in many photographs from the nuptials.

Unfortunately, one person who couldn’t attend the wedding was Sofia’s brother, Miles Richie, who reportedly tested positive for COVID shortly before the event.
It hasn’t been confirmed how much Elliot and Sofia spent on their wedding day, but the photos and footage appears to show they spared no expense to make it a luxurious celebration.
One report estimates they spent $1.5 million to rent out the hotel for the weekend. The cheapest room costs $2,300 per night, while the luxury villa is $32,000 per night. The couple also ensured there was plenty of entertainment, including a personalized fireworks display as well as multiple performances, including a rendition by Sofia’s dad.

Sofia wore several custom outfits for her wedding weekend, many of which were exclusively designed by Chanel. The outfits alone likely cost tens of thousands of dollars.
“I always had this vision of the big princess dress, and going big, but as I got older, I realized that I wanted something a bit more simple. Maybe ‘simple’ isn’t the right word because my dress definitely is not simple!” Sofia told Vogue of her dress choices.
Given the wealth Elliot and Sofia both come from, it shouldn’t be surprising that they went all-out for their wedding day.
As a legendary musician, Sofia’s father Lionel Richie has a reported net worth of $200 million. Sofia has also established a career as a model for herself and is apparently worth $8 million overall.
Sofia’s new husband is a non-celebrity, so not a lot is known about his personal life. But not only is Elliot a music executive, but so is his father, Lucian Grainge, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Universal Music Group.
Lucian and Lionel collaborated on music frequently over the years, and that’s how their families became acquainted. Sofia and Elliot reportedly knew each other for years before their relationship turned romantic.
