Huge drama unfolds at River Bend that sees one dead and others critical in Neighbours, but while all that’s going on, oblivious Ned (Ben Hall) and Harlow (Jemma Donovan) are getting jiggy under a waterfall.
If you listen carefully, you can hear the sound of poor Amy’s heart breaking.
As things kick off, the group set off to investigate what’s going on. Turns out Ned and Harlow are not particularly adept at search parties in the bush, and they quickly become lost. They’re alone, disorientated and terrified with no means to call for help. What will happen to them?
Amy (Jacinta Stapleton) is worried; she hasn’t heard from Ned and that’s unlike him. Harlow also hasn’t returned, and Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) is starting to feel a little anxious too. Have they perished out in the wilderness?
Not quite. This pair might be search and rescue noobs, but they have a few tricks up their sleeves for survival. They are pretty terrified and know that they need to find shelter and warmth, so they head off in search of a safe haven for the night. They find a waterfall, where they decide to bunk down and huddle together for body heat. Soon enough, there are sparks and things get hotter than a campfire.
The couple are alone in the bush with no signs of rescue, of course they need something to pass the time. What better way to kill two birds with one stone – keep themselves entertained while generating warmth? They indulge in some sexy times after giving into their feelings. Effective and efficient. And all while Amy is pacing the floor back home.
Amy is starting to get desperate – she needs to tell Ned how she feels and enlists Toadie’s help to find her man. They head back to River Bend as the last place the pair were seen, but now they have a race on their hands against the setting sun.
Thankfully for Amy, the pair are found safe and well, and she can declare her strong feelings for Ned. But she may wish she left him out in the cold as little does she know, Ned’s head is turning. He’s realised he does have some feelings for Harlow, and Harlow is getting in his head that he deserves better than Amy.
His head is swimming, his future with Amy is looking murky, but she catches him off guard with a huge romantic gesture. His feelings come flooding back and he decides she’s the one he wants. Harlow tries to convince him otherwise, but it’s no good. Ned now knows what he wants, and it’s not her.
Scenes air from Monday March 14 on Channel 5.
