Stacey Solomon shows off Christmas tree she made for free from her own garden

Stacey Solomon never fails to impress with her creative ideas and DIY tricks, and even during the festive period she's busy thinking up new ways to make things.

The Loose Women panellist, 33, has been busy getting her family Essex mansion, dubbed Pickle Cottage, ready for Christmas over recent days and has even managed to create her own Christmas tree rather than buy one.

Using pampas grass from her sprawling garden, Stacey, who recently shared her creative Elf On The Shelf ideas with fans, has made her very own tree this year and has documented the creation process on Instagram for her followers.

She began by heading out into her garden to collect the pampas grass before getting to work inside with her three year old son Rex.

The mum-of-four used an old white Christmas tree as the foundation for the project and then set out filling every single hole with pampas as Rex accompanied her.

Stacey added glittering lights and a woven basket as a base before sharing clips of the finished project, which was nothing short of impressive.

She gushed over her new tree, telling her followers: "And The Tree Is Up I Finally Made My Dream Christmas Tree I’ve been dreaming about this bloomin tree for years. I never had enough pampas to make one! This year my lovely neighbour said I could trim his pampas bush and use it to make my tree."

She went on to reveal that she'd taken pampas from everywhere inside her home after becoming concerned that she wouldn't be able to fill the tree, and how she is "so proud" of what she's created.

Stacey signed off her message by adding: "I’m so proud of it and in love with it. Looking forward to hoovering under it every day until the big man arrives! Now to add baubles or not to add baubles that is the question! Happy December Everyone," with a star emoji.

The TV presenter has definitely been getting in the festive spirit recently, and has also been getting creative with her Elf On The Shelf.

Stacey constructed her own DIY elf this year out of an empty toilet roll and pipe cleaners, which she designed to look like her husband Joe Swash, 40.

After introducing the elf on 1 December to her children, the star has been busy thinking up mischievous activities to set up for the elf around Pickle Cottage.

She soon found her DIY elf having a relaxing spa day in her bathroom sink, complete with eye masks, miniature towel and a cocktail.
