Among those set to wow on the dance floor this week isKym Marshwho has been keeping fans entertained with her incredible skills.

A few weeks ago, she took time out of dance practice to pay homage to perhaps one of her biggest supporters, her husband Scott Ratcliff on their first wedding anniversary.

Kym, 46, and army major Scott, 34,married in a stunning military wedding at Sandhurston 16 October 2021 that the pair exclusively shared with OK!.

The pair’s wedding, held at Royal Memorial Chapel at Sandhurst, came a few months after they got engaged so that Kym’s dad, Dave, who has beendiagnosed with terminal prostate cancercould be present at her big day.

There was also a huge bridal party – which Scott jokingly called “Kym Marsh’s entourage” – including Kym’s children David, 27, Emilie, 24, and Polly, 11, along with Scott’s daughter Renee, seven, and Kym’s grandson, Teddy, three.

Kym’s former Coronation Street co-star, Alison King, acted as one of the bridesmaids, while her team of “groomsmen” included actor Antony Cotton, who first introduced the couple back in 2018.

Speaking to OK! after the big day,she told us: “There were tears when he walked me down the aisle and when I gave him a kiss as he sat down – there were lots of tears surrounding my dad that day."

The Morning Live presenter also shared the highlights of the magical wedding and said one has to be the special moment with her dad.

"I wanted him to walk me and he managed to do the entire length of the aisle, which I didn’t expect him to do," she said.

Reminiscing on her car journey with her dad to their beautiful military wedding venue at Sandhurst, Kym, who wore a beautiful Carolina Herrera gown, told us: "I held his hand and we had a chat.

"He said I looked beautiful. Both he and mum were so excited. He said it’s the wedding they couldn’t wait for as they adore Scott, and he was happy to give me away to him."

The newlyweds were treated to a military parade, where Scott’s army buddies drew their swords into an arch for the couple to walk underneath before sharing a romantic kiss at the end.

The speeches were also a hit among the guests as Kym revealed her father received a standing ovation "before he even started because of the courage and strength it took him to do the job he did that day."

"There was so much respect for him in the room," she explained.

While Scott also remarked: "Kym’s dad’s speech was hilarious and emotional. Antony [Cotton] also gave a toast to Service People, which was a lovely touch."

Kym added: “Scott’s speech blew me away, especially when he said ‘While I think I love you today, I know with absolute certainty that I’ll love you more tomorrow’. He has a way with words.”

In his speech Scott concluded by saying:“On so many occasions love has made me think I couldn’t love you more, and yet, I stand here today fully believing it is impossible to love you more than I do in right now.

"But Kym, whilst I think I love you today, I know with absolute certainty that I will love you more tomorrow."
