After weeks of speculation surrounding Kylie’s pregnancy, the pair confirmed that the adorable tot was born on the mystical date of February 2, 2022.

But the famous couple aren’t the only A-listers who have opted for the animal name, or a similar variation, in recent years.

Former Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead named her son Wulfric Alexander Fredrik Darnton – or Wolfie, for short – last year and Princess Beatrice’s stepson is a Wolfie too.

Elsewhere celebs including Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet, Lauren Conrad and Zooey Deschanel have all opted for the surprising choice as a middle name.

According tobaby name website Nameberry, the name Wolf is of German origin and it means “travelling wolf”.

Describing the specifics behind the choice, the site writes: “Wolf is a name with a split personality.

“It can be seen as one of the fierce animal names, like Fox and Bear and Puma, with a touch of the werewolf.”

It adds: “Or it can be viewed as a quieter, Wolf Blitzer kind of name, fairly common in German (where is pronounced Vulf) and Jewish families, sometimes as a short form of Wolfgang.”

In fact, according to UK Baby Names, the name has slowly increased in popularity in the past decade, particularly between 2019 and 2020.

Fans of the glitzy couple previously believed that the newborn had been called Angel after famous faces commented a series of cryptic comments under Kylie’s announcement post.

Kris Jenner wrote: “Angel baby” while Kim Kardashian commented a blue heart and angel emoji.

With the tot’s birth date reading as 2/2/22, the ancient study of numerology considers it to be an angel number, causing more rumours to spiral.
