Ten things to look forward to in 2017 to help you survive Blue Monday – the most depressing day of the year

IF you’re feeling down in the dumps, you’re not alone.

Today is Blue Monday — officially the most depressing day of the year.

A travel company used a mathematical formula based on factors including the dreary weather, days since Christmas, debt from the festivities, and the time when most of us have already failed our New Year’s resolutions, to conclude the third Monday of January is the gloomiest.

But don’t despair because there are still plenty of reasons to be cheerful.
