Tesco has told shoppers that it will extend its Clubcard vouchers expiration date. The supermarket had initially confirmed that Clubcard vouchers would expire in May before extending the deadline to November 31, 2021.
Tesco Clubcard coupons typically have a two-year expiry period, and those that have been extended are ones that were issued in May 2019.
Tesco will be updating the expiry dates on its digital vouchers and will continue to accept paper vouchers in-store until the extended expiry date.
However, vouchers that have already had their cut-off date pushed back- for example, ones that were due to expire in November 2020 but are now due to last until May 2021 – will still expire on these dates.
This means if you have a voucher that was due to run out in November 2020, the last day to use them is still May 31, 2021.
If you are unsure when your coupon will last until, check in stores so you don’t miss out.
To get Tesco vouchers through its Clubcard loyalty scheme, customers have to build up points by spending money in stores.
Shoppers get one point for every £1 they spend in store and online, or one point for every £2 spent on fuel.
You can collect points through Tesco Bank and Tesco Mobile as well.

You need a minimum of 150 points to get any sort of voucher, which will be worth £1.50 to spend in Tesco – or save them up, and 500 points would be worth £5, for example.
You can check if you have forgotten vouchers by logging into the Tesco Clubcard website with your account details. Once you are logged in, click on “my Clubcard account” and then “vouchers” and you should see a table listing the vouchers you still have to spend.
Shoppers can spend any leftover vouchers online straight away, or print them out from home if you would rather use them in store.
