DEAR DEIDRE: WHEN my fiancée accused me of cheating and ended our relationship, I was devastated.
I never cheated on her but she wouldn’t believe me.
And within weeks of splitting, she had met someone else and blocked me.
We had been together for four years, and engaged for one. I’m 35 and she’s 33.
I felt so confused and lonely, and I was finding it impossible to move on.
You sent me your support packs, Mending A Broken Heart and Feeling Lonely, which showed me how to pick up the pieces of my life.

You encouraged me to talk to my friends and family, rather than bottling things up, and recommended I see my doctor, because you correctly identified that I was depressed.
I took your excellent advice and started having counselling, which my GP recommended.
I threw myself into work, getting fit and spending quality time with good friends.
Slowly, things have improved.
I still miss my ex sometimes and occasionally feel lonely, but I now know the relationship wasn’t right as the trust was missing.
Thank you Deidre.
