The analysis of price data from 2021 shows that garden furniture sets were most expensive in April last year.

The average price hit £516 on April 12, but plummeted to £376 in July – a difference of £140.

So you could make big savings if you don't need a new set for a few months.

Similarly, slide, swing and climbing frame sets are cheaper if you wait until the end of summer.

It will cost you around £431 on average in April, but just £281 on August 24, the research showed.

While that's a big saving of £156, it does mean the frame wouldn't get much use during the school summer holidays.

So you'll have to weigh up the potential savings with when you actually need the product.

But you don't have to wait until the end of summer to make big savings.
