Chateau Miraval by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie – £14

Former spouses Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie entered the winemaking business in 2008 when they purchased their Miraval estate in Provence, France.

The ex-couple took over the production of a rose wine formerly known as Pink Floyd.

The wine paid tribute to the English rockband having recorded its album The Wall at the Chateau Miraval in Correns.

The pair worked with French vintner Marc Perrin to devise their Chateau Miraval rosé which has notes of raspberry, nectarine, plum and strawberry.

It also features floral suggestions of cherry blossom and jasmine.

Chateau Miraval was hugely successful, prompting the then-couple to later launch a rosé champagne.

Ms Jolie recently sold her shares of the wine company to Tenute del Mondo, a subsidiary of beverage giant Stoli.

Mr Pitt still partially owns the winery, in partnership with the Perrin family.

Last year, however, Ms Jolie – through her former company Nouvel – sued Mr Pitt for $250million (approximately £200million) for allegedly stealing their wine business from her.

The lawsuit claimed Mr Pitt tried to ‘secretly move assets’ from their co-owned business to his friends and other companies, spent ‘millions on vanity projects’, and gave away half the company’s trademarks to a friend for free.

Nouvel claims Pitt’s alleged scheme meant Ms Jolie would ‘never see a dime’ of Chateau Miraval’s ‘tens of millions of dollars in profits.’

Mr Pitt has claimed he and his ex-wife both agreed not to sell their stake in the property without approving it with each other as they were both owners

He has since accused Ms Jolie of selling her portion of the winery with the intent to willfully ‘inflict harm’ by entering into the sale with a total ‘stranger,’ thus violating their agreement.

Chateau Miraval retails for around £14 per bottle.  It is available online and at select supermarkets including Tesco and Morrisons.

Jolie and Pitt bought the chateau together in 2008 and used it as their 2014 wedding venue. The southern French castle has 35 rooms and 1,300 acres of grounds and vineyards. The couple bought it for $25million in 2008 by purchasing the Luxembourg company, Quimicum, in which it is held
