US-based parenting website Nameberry has revealed the most searched names of 2020, with new trends emerging such as mythology-inspired names for girls – think Persephone and Athena – and retro choices such as Atticus and Silas for boys.
The website shared the names which had the most views on the site this year, stating: ‘They’re the ones on name-savvy parents’ (or future parents’) minds, so they’re a pretty good measure of what will be hot in the year ahead.’
Topping the list was Luna, which finally knocked Olivia off the top spot after the name spent four years at number one on the list.
