Just when you thought the Hogwarts wizard king was gone forever, Harry Potter is back with a nostalgic reunion with all his magical friends in the 2022 release of Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts. The franchise’s star protagonist, Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), reunites with his closest friends, Hermoine Granger (Emma Watson), Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), and many other faces from since the first movie released in 2001, Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone, all the way to the 2011 film, Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Harry Potter: Return To Hogwarts denotes 20 years since the first film adaptation of JK Rowling’s trailblazing novel, which has since turned into both a multi-million dollar fantasy series and a billion-dollar movie franchise.

The film’s directors, Casey Patterson and Joe Pearlman provide an enchanting film that is intended to evoke cherished memories held dear to the hearts of Harry Potter fans worldwide. Fans can definitely appreciate the setting that takes place in the Gryffindor common room in the Hogwarts dining hall. Hollywood’s three favorite wizards, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, share heartfelt memories of what it was like going through the growth stages of every movie, and how they got to witness each other’s growth into the individuals they have become.

There were also interviews with some of the main antagonist characters, like Voldemort, the arch-enemy of Harry Potter and murderer of his parents, who was played by Ralph Fiennes. The King’s Man actor recalls the day he was first offered the part, and how he enjoyed the acting process.
Also, Helena Bonham Carter, who has starred in such as Alice In Wonderland, Fight Club, and Sweeney Todd: The Demon of Barber Street alongside Johnny Depp, shared her role as another major antagonist in the film named Bellatrix. There are also shared moments of the internal experiences between the three lead characters, Harry, Hermione, and Ron, and their creators, including producer David Heyman and directors Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuarón, Mike Newell, and David Yates.

While there was not an interview from the writer behind the pen, JK Rowling, whose inspiration allowed the spell-casting magic of the fantastical world of Harry Potter to impact an entire generation, there was a major effort made to include as much of the original cast as possible. Actors such as Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy), Mark Williams (Arther Weasley), Robbie Coltrane (Rubeus Hagrid), and Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas) to name a few.

To date, the Harry Potter film franchise has grossed $1.017 billion at the global box office, excluding the January 1, 2022 release of Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. The release, which is scheduled to air on TBS and Cartoon Network in the spring of 2022, comes ahead of the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, set to hit the theatres on April 15, 2022, according to Entertainment Weekly.
