The sunniest month in Bognor Regis, on average, is July, with 222 hours of sunshine.

This is measured using a Campbell-Stokes sunshine recorder, which is located at the Bognor Regis Butlins!

The capital isn’t somewhere you instantly think of when it comes to sunshine.

However, in July 2020, five of the hottest temperatures recorded in the UK were in London, including Regents Park and Kew Gardens.

London may be more than just a city trip, with an average of 1481 hours of sunshine recorded annually.  

Eastbourne

This East Sussex spot has been a sunny haven for over 100 years! It holds the record for the highest ever recorded amount of sunshine in a month – that was 383.9 hours in the July of 1911.

It’s still going strong as a sunshine site, with June providing approximately 205 hours of sunshine.

Eastbourne averages 1895 hours of sunshine per year.

Hastings

Sussex really is the sunny capital of the UK, as Hastings boasts an average of 1871 hours of sunshine each year.

You might want to visit in June, as that is reported to be the sunniest month.
