Skeptical viewers voiced their frustration at This Morning today after the show aired a segment on alien life followed by a guide to using crystals.
Crystal expert Emma Lucy Knowles was invited on the show to tell hosts Phillip Scofield and Holly Willoughby how crystals can change the energy of a room.
Moments earlier, Jo Wood was on the blue couch to discuss her personal obsession with UFOs and her belief that another form of life exist, and that aliens might already be among us.
For viewers, these two alternative segments proved a bit much, and many made their feelings known on Twitter, bashing the show for ‘encouraging idiocy’ and focusing on ‘woo woo.’

Speaking to Phil and Holly, Emma Lucy Knowles wanted to show how different crystals can be used in each room.
She advised using tourmaline, amethyst and lapis lazuli in order to shift the energy of your home.
For instance, the expert advised using malachite and rose quartz in your hallway to keep people’s negative energy from taking over your space.
She also explained a black crystal called obsidian is known for its ‘protective energy’ and can help ward off external negativity, if you live in a built-up area.
Earlier on the show, Jo Wood talked of her obsession with UFOs and alien life, prompting comments from viewers it was hard to take today’s show seriously
One viewer said the topics of today’s show was ‘woo woo’ while other asked if anyone believes crystal truly work
She added that tourmaline and smoky quartz could act as an ‘energy hoover’ if your working from home, revealing how they can keep emotions in one place and prevent the stress of the work day from spreading to other parts of the house.
The expert added that size does not matter when it comes to crystals, and that a tiny piece of quartz will work just as well as a bigger piece.
She went on to say that clear quartz will ‘make sure that everything is keeping very clear, very smooth so you’re not blowing up and having arguments because this can diffuse that for you.’
While Holly and Phillip kept an open mind and listened eagerly to Emma Lucy’s recommendation, the audience remained more skeptical.

The expert was eager to show how different crystal have different properties that can work around the house, but viewers were not convinced
Viewers were not convinced with her appearance on the show, and many said her intervention, alongside Jo Wood’s interview on UFOs, proved a bit too hard to take seriously.
During her segment, Jo recounted how she became interested in other life forms at a young age, and claimed to seeing UFOs as an adult on a camping holiday during her marriage with Rolling Stone’s Ronnie Wood.
‘Today you’ve someone who believes in UFOs and another claiming crystals have ‘energy’. Presumably tomorrow there’ll be a flat-earther and cabbages who can talk. Stop encouraging idiocy,’ one said.
Viewers said they could have done without the segment on crystal, while others said it was ‘pathetic’
‘How can they do this item with a straight face?,’ one asked about Phil and Holly, who were diligently listening to Emma Lucy.
‘Genuinely, does anyone actually believe this c***,’ one said.
‘Crystals, what a load of bollocks do people actually believe in this rubbish,’ another said.
‘They’re pretty but I’m not convinced. I actually have some rose quartz that was my mum’s. I don’t feel any different though,’ one viewer said.
‘What’s with all the woo woo today? Aliens and Crystal,’ one asked.
