Next year is the Year of the Tiger, so the last Tiger year was in 2010. People born in Tiger years are brave and confident as animal. Express.co.uk chatted to Feng Shui and Chinese astrology Expert Marites Allen (@maritesallen on Instagram) to find out everything you need to know about the Tiger.
Your Chinese zodiac sign is determined by your year of birth.
However, the Chinese calendar is centred around the lunar cycle and the New Year starts on the second New Moon after the winter solstice on December 21.
That’s why the date changes every year, but it is normally between January 21 and February 20.
This year the Chinese New Year is on February 12, and it’s the Year of the Metal Ox.
