Trolls tell me to cover up my "naked" Grinch outfit – but its just body paint

A super-talented artist who painted herself into The Grinch for Christmas says she's regularly trolled for being "naked".

Marina Eloise, from Norwich, has racked up a whopping 1.6m followers on TikTok thanks to her extraordinarily-lifelike body paint.

In a recent clip seen more than 300,000 times, the 34-year-old appeared as the title character from the 2000 Christmas flick.

As she posed, text flashed up on screen reading: "I'm a body painter but I'm covered up properly."

She then showed just one of the mean comments she receives daily: "Omg eww, just wear clothes."

The soundtrack to Disney film Coco Un Poco Loco played over the background – which translates to "a little crazy".

Artists such as Marina often have people convinced they are naked but they actually use sticky patches to preserve their modesty.

The body painter's loyal fans flooded to support her in the comments, telling her to "forget the haters".

And, speaking exclusively to Daily Star, she reveals she does just that.

"I tend to ignore these people honestly," she said. "Some commenters are purely curious and asking questions because they’ve never seen this type of art before but some are just out to be mean.

"Any comments that bother me get deleted and blocked, I think that’s the best way to deal with the trolls."

Marina, who also went viral last Christmas for a clever design, admits there are people who will "always find something negative to say".

She believes her talent can be confusing to some people who have never seen anybody body painted before.

"I think the comments telling me to ‘wear clothes instead’ or ‘just buy a costume’ are completely missing the point of what I do," Marina continued.

"Anybody could purchase a costume but it does take some skill and patience to paint clothes onto your own body in a mirror."

The artist's most detailed creations can take up to 10 hours to paint, but most require around 7-8 hours.

Her talent is purely for her fans on social media and she's never been tempted to go out in public in her costumes.

While she only wants to do her work from the comfort of her own home there's an added issue to going outside – she unsurprisingly can't paint her own back.
