We never thought we’d be saying this, but Sex and the City is coming back.

The show is called And Just Like That and tells the story of New York's most famous friends as they navigate life and friendship in their 50s.

And it's not long until the return, with Sarah Jessica Parker recently sharing that it will premiere in December on HBO Max.

And while we get a whole lot of fashion inspiration from the show, it turns out people are also inspired by the names on SITC.

Bella Baby delved in to how popular baby names inspired by the show were, using statistics from Baby Name UK.

So, without further ado, here are some of the most popular names from Sex and the City…

Most popular Sex and the City inspired baby names

Charlotte comes up trumps, with 100 per cent popularity.

As Bella Baby describes: "Charlotte is the feminine form of the name Charles, meaning "free man". The name was made popular by England's Queen Charlotte in the 18th century."

Also coming in with 100 per cent popularity was Harry, a name of German origin which "a medieval form of Henry."







Anther popular male baby name from the show is Aidan, which had 97 per cent popularity.

The second most popular girls name was Samantha, with 91 per cent.

Samantha "is of Arabic origin and means "listens well" and also Hebrew origin and means "as told by God."

Perhaps surprisingly, Carrie wasn't as popular as popular as Samantha and Charlotte, falling in third place.

The least popular girls name from the gang is Miranda, which has 59 per cent popularity.

Steve is the lowest name of all the SITC clan, with 52 per cent.

In a behind-the-scenes clip, Sarah Jessica Parker announced that the highly-anticipated reboot will premiere in December.

The 56 year old actress shared the exciting news from their New York City set as the famous theme tune played in the background.

With her signature blonde hair in loose waves, the Carrie Bradshaw actress said: "It's Sarah Jessica! Hello from New York City – Fifth Avenue! Shooting as we speak, the next chapter of Sex and the City, or as we like to call it, And Just Like That, with some beloved friends.

"But in the meantime…And Just Like That will premiere in December on HBO Max. Ciao!"
